First of all, I am stealing that icon! I about cried when i saw it. That episode was super powerful without being OVERLY serious!
Second. Truer words were never spoken. I really don't feel that it is your typical Disney show. When I really started watching the episodes yesterday, I actually forgot that I was watching the Disney Channel.
I am one of those said BMW fans. I lived for Friday nights to watch Cory and crew. I think it is exactly like Boy Meets World, minus the characters being girls instead of guys. As a long time fan, I really love the throw backs to the old show, and I especially appreciate the cameo appearances we've had so far.
Like in the aforementioned bullying episode, how Harley tries to talk to Farkle, and then tries his best to talk to Billy. He learned a lot from "Baboon" who gave him a second chance. And then at the end when he tells the kids, "This is Mr. Matthews. Respect him." Or something like that.
You're right though. I know a lot of BMW fans are waiting for Rider's return, and I personally feel like should feel obligated to give us more than 2 episodes. I mean, come on. You're not going ot tell me Cory hasn't talked to Shawn for ten years! No way! But I don't have to have the cameos to enjoy the show. I'm not one of THOSE fans. The cameos don't make the show. The new cast and the veterans we *do* have on board are quite enough for me. (Though I wouldn't be broken hearted if they convinced Lee Norris to do another cameo...like Farkle vs. Riley in a class election, anyone? I Could SO see that) .
This show has, if nothing else, reminded me of some good times as a kid, and evne though I never developed muses watching the other show, I still hold the original spirit of the characters and cast from Boy Meets WOrld close to my heart.
