So in a conversation the other day, my friend Valerie got a little bit upset because I hadn't been sharing any of my blurbs from Into the Lion's Den with her. Here is my answer to that, even though I will never tell her:

Into the Lion's Den is the culmination of months and months of RP. Even more writing of blurbs and a an entire manuscript lost.

As much fun as I am having writing this fan novel, it is making me severely miss that particular fandom in general. This fandom brought me some of my closest friends. Some I am still friends with to this day (you know who you are!) and others I haven't heard from in well over 10 years. So this is also opening a few flood gates to me.

To try and share it with anyone other than those who would understand and appreciate the work I've put into the story and the characters involved, including their back stories would be far too hard. Not only that, I just done have the patience to explain every single aspect so I just share what I can online, the parts that won't require much explanation.

It's so much more fun talking about this work when people understand the characters, the fandom, and where i am trying to go with it. Some could argue that I could discuss the aspects of The Phantom of the Opera with her. (SHe's a big Phantom of the Opera fan) . But I think there are more Yu gi oh references that she won't get to understand.

So what do you guys think? Do you share fandom works with people who you know aren't into the genre or fandom? She has made it clear that she is *not* into anime. Help?

Trivia: In the original draft of Into the Lion's Den, Christien believes that Victoria has finished with him and she and Teran start dating. In this version, Griffon develops strong feelings for Victoria while pretending to want to break her and Christien up. (Yes, confusing, I know, but you'll understand if and when I decide to post this anywhere)

So you know earlier I was at Barnes and Noble. Well, that wore thin very quickly. People were loud, Mostly people I don't know, and it got really taxing on my nerves. I don't take my anxiety medication during the day, just at night, so I was really on edge. My hookah helped a bit, but I still wish I would've had some kind of sedative, even if it didn't put me to sleep.

I got through the scene with Johanna and Victoria. It wasn't nearly as heart wrenching as it could've been, but I"m okay with that. Maybe they're just at a place where it isn't so hard anymore. Maybe having Victoria and Yami Bakura get into it at the restaurant was a good way to diffuse it. Heh.

Ordered my copy of The Magisterium #1: The Iron Trials by Cassandra Clare and Holly Black. I am SO excited about reading this book because it is a combination of two of my favorite authors. I need to really work on getting my Swagbucks up and up, so I can pre-order TFIOS before the 16th!!

I have another 10.00 worth coming in the next few days so that will be 20.00 off. I would like it at least 25.00 off. So maybe I'll get on ChatAbout, as well, and try and earn more. I feel pretty bad because I haven't been on in a while. They're pay out is a lot quicker than Swagbucks, which I have been trying to convince my friends of, but they all love Swagbucks, so that's the main reason why I still stay on there. Not to mention, I now have 2 active referrals, and they get me a shit ton, even if I do nothing, but I have been trying my best to do my part nowadays!!

Trivia: One of my first OCs for Yu gi oh was a five-year-old girl named Elizabeth. She was meant for Bakura, and that's where she lives, even though Kaiba takes care of her sometimes too. My second ever online alias came from that name, Lizzie. My first online alias was Lexi (named after my baby vampire, Alexia) from the Buffy the Vampire Slayer fandom.

So it's been a while since I really thought about exactly where the idea came from. I think originally the story was going to be called A Voice in the Dark, and the "Phantom" of the story was going to be Yami Marik. And the production wasn't going to Phantaom of the Opera, but The Sound of Music as it was set to follow THe Roba Diaries. It's so funny how this one idea has evolved into this amazing thing.

Griffon's role in the story has changed too. I think in the original draft he was more Wyatt's underaged lackey. In this version he seems to be more reluctant about it. You'll find out later why the reluctance, and the continued helping.

The other thing I figured out was that even before I finally saw a stage production of The Phantom of the Opera, the version that the Robas and Victoria perform is the stage production, complete with the pyrotechnics, courtesy of Rex.

Huh. I don't know when I decided it was the stage production, because I've only recently just seen it!

Man it feels like this is all I can write about lately. Sorry, guys! It's just consuming me 100% right now. And since I have so few people i can actually discuss this with... I will say it feels pretty good to just get it out. And if no one really reads this stuff, then that's okay! I just have to put it somewhere.

But let's talk about reality a bit. For the last few days, I've been dealing with a lot of negativity in my parents' house. Most of it is coming from Daddy C, who is just in a really bad negative place. The problem is he wants to spend spend spend and they just don't have the money for that. It gets old after a while, listening to it over and over.

I've been burying myself in my fanfic to escape him, and as a result, I have heard copious amounts of Phantom of the Opera both the Libretto (from the Broadway Cast) and the Highlights from the Movie Cast (Cause I lost my Broadway Cast! Don't worry, I'm ripping a copy from the library, cause even though I love Gerard dearly, I prefer certain songs performed by my dear sweet Michael Crawford).

I'll have to put all of this stuff on hiatus from Friday to Saturday though. Fred is coming over, and bringing me more Disc Wars: Avengers! Saturday afternoon I am going to a Crab Feast as a good bye party to my friend Joel. He was a friend of mine at Essex Community College. He's going to Frostburg, the school that I would've gone to if I had followed through with my 4 year here in MD. Anyway, so I'm doing that Saturday. Sunday I am going to be at Barnes and Noble. If my new Bank card comes in by then, I'll be getting my Phantom of the Opera Live at Albert Hall DVD. I just have to have it on DVD to own. The stage play is just so amazing to me. Other than that, it's writing, and RPing (if I can get my damn PC to work right) .

Okay, I've bored you long enough. IF you read this far, you are amazing! Thanks!

Trivia: My very first favorite Yu gi oh character was Ryou Bakura. (I still have a soft spot for him...AND his crazy Yami, though his yami I love do to fan incarnations of him I'v RPed with and written over the years). Loved Bakura so much I basically memorized the whole "Evil Spirit of the Ring" episode.
